Role Description The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals and workforce needs. This full-time, on-site role in Shanghai, VA involves providing guidance on performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and organizational design. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching managers on HR policies and practices, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and driving employee engagement and retention initiatives. The HR Business Partner will handle employee relations matters, support change management activities, and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and company standards. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional HR teams to implement global and local HR programs, monitor HR metrics, and recommend continuous improvements. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in strategic HR business partnering, workforce planning, and organizational development. Skills in performance management, coaching, and supporting leadership in talent development and succession planning. Proficiency in employee relations, conflict resolution, and handling sensitive HR issues with discretion and fairness. Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment law, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority. Ability to analyze HR data, interpret metrics, and use insights to inform decisions and improve HR processes. Experience managing or supporting HR projects and change management initiatives in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is an advantage. Prior experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
