At EMS Solutions in Ogden, Utah, quality isn't just a department-it's part of everything we build. We're looking for a Quality Inspector who takes pride in accuracy and helps ensure our products meet IPC standards, customer requirements, and quality expectations.

Pay: $18.00/hr

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

What You'll Do

Every day is a little different, but you'll spend your time:

• Inspecting incoming materials, circuit boards, and components for defects and compliance with specifications
• Verifying materials and screens match drawings, job requirements, and customer specifications
• Performing in-process inspections to verify component placement, workmanship, and process compliance
• Conducting final inspections before finished products are released for shipment
• Identifying defects and communicating quality concerns to production and leadership
• Issuing reject tags, red tags, and documentation for nonconforming materials
• Preparing Certificates of Compliance, ROHS documentation, inspection records, and other required quality documents
• Taking photographs and maintaining accurate records for quality reporting and traceability
• Following ANSI sampling plans, IPC standards, inspection procedures, and customer requirements
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives, audits, and documentation reviews as needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain IPC-A-610 certification within 90 days of hire
• Previous inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to follow all safety, quality, PPE, and ESD requirements

What It's Like to Work Here

You'll work in a manufacturing environment where precision and attention to detail matter. This role requires sitting and/or standing for extended periods, frequently handling and inspecting small components, and performing repetitive hand movements.

You'll also need to:

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
• Maintain focus on detailed work for extended periods
• Bend, stoop, kneel, or reach as needed
• Wear required PPE, including smocks, closed-toe shoes, and heel straps
• Work around normal manufacturing noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
