Why Drive for Smokey Point?

At Smokey Point Distributing, drivers aren't an afterthought. They're the reason the company exists. Founded by drivers 40 years ago, SPD was built on firsthand experience of what it takes to succeed behind the wheel, and that mindset still shapes how the company treats its team today.

Over Dimensional Flatbed Driver Overview

• Pay that rewards specialized drivers. Earn a base of 59-64CPM based on verified flatbed experience. In 2026, our solo OD drivers are on pace to earn an average of $84,000, and our top 20% average $110,000 (year-to-date gross pay, projected to year-end).*
• Bonus miles that add up. Earn a monthly performance bonus of 1-4CPM on all miles, earning 1CPM for each 1,000 miles you run over your monthly mileage minimum.
• Dedicated lanes that keep you moving. Run dedicated lanes with some lanes running to Ontario, Canada, with predictable routes built around a dedicated account.
• Home time you can count on. Run 2-3 weeks at a time with 3.5-4 days home to reset and recharge before your next run.
