Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Contract options ranging from 13-20 weeks

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with up to two attempts to achieve a passing score
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to the health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Travelers must wait a minimum of 6 months before returning to another assignment within the health system
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
