Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on the design and development of highly customized laboratory equipment. This is a true project engineering role where you will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle—from gathering customer requirements and developing designs to supporting fabrication, installation, and customer interaction The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical design capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, customer-focused environmen Responsibilities iesCollaborate directly with customers to understand technical specifications, performance requirements, and project objectiv es.Design and develop custom laboratory equipment utilizing SolidWor ks.Create mechanical designs and contribute to electrical system integration as need ed.Manage projects from concept through design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing, and final installati on.Source materials, components, and equipment required for project executi on.Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and meet customer expectatio ns.Provide technical guidance during prototype development and equipment buil ds.Support equipment installation and commissioning at customer faciliti es.Communicate project status, technical information, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholde rs.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and engineering process Qualifications ons Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipl ine.Experience with mechanical design and product developm nt.Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD softw are.Strong project management and organizational ski lls.Excellent verbal and written communication abilit ies.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional te ams.Experience working with custom equipment, machinery, automation, or engineered-to-order products is prefer Additional Information tion Approximately 10% travel for customer visits, equipment installations, and project sup port.Engineers are encouraged to spend time in the shop and work directly with equipment to gain practical understanding and support project suc ss.This role operates within a specialized niche market, offering the opportunity to work on unique, highly customized engineering projects with significant customer interaction and owner #J-18808-Ljbffr Capstone Search Advisors
