Employment Type: Full-Time FSLA: Salary/Exempt Division: Purchasing Department: Purchasing Reports to: Regional Purchasing Manager Supervisory Duties: No ThePurchasing Engineeris responsible forassistingin the hiring of subcontractors and vendors for specific Consigli Construction projects.ThePurchasing Engineerwill be assigned and work collaboratively with members of the project team including thePurchaser,Estimator and Project Manager, to complete this function on time and on budget. Responsibilities /Essential Functions Assistin hiring subcontractors and vendors for specificConsigli Construction projects. Assistin definingconcise trade package scopes of work prior to buying these packages. Collaborate with project team members, including thePurchaser,Estimatorand Project Manager, to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. Work with company personnel to develop andmaintainrelationships with subcontractors and vendors. Assistin overseeingthe prequalification, bid solicitation, and award processes for subcontractors and vendors. Write subcontracts and material purchase agreements. Assistin organizingmeetings with subcontractors and vendors. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Skills Strongcommunication skills. Strong initiative and problem-solvingabilities. Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in construction management,engineering, or relevant fieldrequired. 0-3years of experience inconstruction management/engineering, or similar roleor schoolingrequired, preferably in the construction field.
