Database Engineer III

Database Engineer III Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Poly. Responsibilities The Database Engineer will direct the development of complex systems using queries, tables, and database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologies for the design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis. The Database Engineer will direct the overall database structure to fit into the overall architecture of the system. The Database Engineer will create new workflows to take over existing processes as needed as well as provide break/fix requests or updates. The Database Engineer will assist in the development and implantation of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software. The Database Engineer will direct fulfillment of requirements from a project inception to conclusion. Required Skills SQL Python Experience using MongoDB and/or MariaDB Experience using Django or Flask ReST endpoint Micro services Desired Skills AWS, C2S or other cloud experience Docker Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs JSON and/or XML serialization Jira Confluence Git version control Agile Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required 5 years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree 10 years’ experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required Salary Proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $150,000 to $220,000.
