What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineer Intern, you'll support engineers with planning, design, drafting, and project documentation while gaining practical experience across a variety of civil engineering projects.

Civil Engineering Design Support Assist engineers with planning and design activities for mining, structural, municipal, and other civil engineering projects.

CAD & Plan Production Prepare and update engineering drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D, following established project and design standards.

Engineering Documents & Estimates Assist with the preparation of planning documents, engineering reports, quantity takeoffs, and project cost estimates.

Site Visits & Investigation Participate in site inspections, field visits, and investigations to gain hands-on experience and support project development.

Team Collaboration Work alongside engineers and other disciplines within Psomas to support multiple projects and contribute to successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

Current university student majoring in Civil Engineering

Experience with the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship or academic project experience in civil engineering

Experience with transportation, roadway, mining, structural, municipal, or site development projects

Familiarity with engineering plans, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates

Interest in gaining hands-on experience through site visits and field investigations
