- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, initiate diagnostic procedures, and create customized care strategies
- Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic health issues with physicians' collaboration or independently, based on your qualifications
- Educate patients and their families on wellness, prevention strategies, and management of illnesses
- Prescribe necessary medications and treatments within your practice scope
- Engage in patient follow-up and ongoing management of chronic care
- Work effectively within interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, holistic patient care
- Maintain meticulous and accurate records within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or the equivalent in your specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
- Strong clinical judgment complemented by a caring bedside demeanor
- Exceptional communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Flexibility in fast-paced, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort with telemedicine tools
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to evidence-based care
