Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Contract | Travel | Days | 06:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, and aortic procedures
• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a 4-suite cardiovascular operating room environment at a 1:1 patient ratio
• Support advanced vascular procedures including Femoral-Popliteal Bypass, Carotid Endarterectomy, and AV fistula creation
• Assist with placement and management of advanced cardiac support devices including Impella, Ventricular Assist Devices, and ECMO
• Participate in robotic thoracotomy and thoracic surgical cases
• Fulfill call requirements on a rotating basis, including every 5th weekday and every 5th weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) state license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing
• Demonstrated ability to circulate cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Must reside greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted thoracic surgical procedures
• Familiarity with ECMO and Ventricular Assist Device management in the OR setting
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiovascular surgical specialty
