CT Technologist - Local Contract

CS Healthcare is currently seeking a CT Technologist for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Hackensack, NJ.

Job Function:

• Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radi ology information systems as they relate to radi ology. Correctly chooses appropriate patient information from HIS /RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Positions patient and radi ographic equipment appropriate to the body part(s) to be radi ographed and adjusts equipment settings accordingly to ensure maximum information is obtained. Answers all questions that the patient may have.
• Performs transmission and/or segmentation for transmission to PACS in a complete and proper anatomic display.
• When doing cases that require immediate results such as Code Grey, Trauma and Partial Trauma the images will be acquired , processed, sent and verified/completed in PACS / RIS system per established protocol l( Immediately after acquisition for Code Grey). The CT t echnologist will notify the radi ologist as Code Grey images are being sent and follow with any processed data after . All staff should notify the radi ologist of ANY unusual finding to provide the optimum care for the patient.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• High school diploma or equivalent
• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification
• BLS (AHA) certification
• CT experience required
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, CT positioning, and PACS
• ARRT R.T.(CT) certification- preferred
• Six months or more CT experience- preferred
• Experience with EPIC and hospital HIS/RIS systems- preferred
