ICU Registered Nurse - Neurology Specialty

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description: Seeking an experienced Neurology ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing patients post-thrombectomy, TPA treatment, and post-neurosurgery. This unit features advanced medical equipment and a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to critically ill neurology patients.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and responding to emergencies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Utilize advanced equipment, including CRRT, bedside EVDs, and A-line monitoring.
Educate patients and family members on care plans and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Current RN state licensure.
ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Previous ICU experience, specifically in neurology or related fields.
Competence in advanced neurological care practices.
