Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, couples, and groups, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care, participating in case discussions and care planning sessions.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. These may include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse issues, and relational difficulties. A client-centered approach is essential, emphasizing empathy and support while fostering clients' strengths and resilience.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

  • An active and unrestricted license to practice as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling setting, with a strong foundation in clinical practice.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to mental health care.
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with a diverse clientele.

  • A proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to optimize client outcomes.

  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and associated technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience and specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling are highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

  • The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 70,000 and 90,000 per year, contingent on experience and caseload availability.
