Come make an impact every day at Zebra. Responsibilities Maintain and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Ensure equipment are regularly checked and cleaned. Manufacture intermediates and bulk materials for production and R&D according to product specifications, established procedures, and production schedule. Perform pre‑production activities including proofing reference rings prior to production. Work closely with Supply Chain concerning raw materials and intermediates availability. Assist in scheduling and coordinating the manufacturing of intermediates and bulk materials for production. Assist with the development and execution of validation projects and protocols; review and edit SOPs, work instructions, part specifications, and other necessary QA documentation. Execute necessary IFS transactions to ensure accurate inventory and records. Support development and implementation of improvements in the formulation manufacturing areas. Assist with in‑process testing to assure manufactured materials meet specifications. Effectively plan and utilize time and resources to meet business needs and achieve objectives. Support physical inventories as requested by Management. Color‑match reference rings to accepted industry standards with verification. Operate laboratory equipment (e.g., FTIR spectrometer, DSC). Maintain and utilize process equipment (reaction vessel RV‑1, scales, mixers, chillers, rheological devices, draw‑down machines, three‑roll mill) according to established procedures. Identify means for continually improving the intermediates and bulk materials manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting equipment, developing corrective action for process deviations, and offering recommendations for process and system improvements. Support Research & Development activities, including participation in product/process development trials, new raw material and product characterization/performance testing, and use of experimental materials. Maintain work area organization and documentation to satisfy ISO and GMP standards. Maintain good communication and working relationships with all departments and effectively function within a team environment. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of prior work experience in a manufacturing environment (ink, formulation, or chemical processing preferred). Ability to lift 75+ pound pails. Preferred Requirements Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance work instructions, procedure manuals and MSDS sheets. Strong English reading, writing and speaking skills. Proficiency in arithmetic operations in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals. Ability to convert measurement units between English and metric. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to draw and interpret data/information graphically (bar graph, line graph, pie chart, etc.). Familiarity with simple statistical methods. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve moderately complex problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations. Meticulous documentation of all activities while in the manufacturing environment. Familiarity with e‑mail communication. Proficiency in word processors, spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access) and ERP systems. Spreadsheet skills including the ability to manipulate data into graphical form. Pay Range $29.65 - $44.48 Hourly Incentive Compensation In addition to base pay, the role offers a performance‑based annual cash incentive at a target equal to 5% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
