The Insurance Verification Specialist will be the first impression of the center to all patients, family members, and visitors. The Greeter will provide exceptional customer service and ensure all who visit Suvida Healthcare centers are welcomed and properly attended to. The Insurance Verification Specialist will work with the center team by answering questions, managing incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring all benefits are verified, and assisting with other clinical clerical tasks.ResponsibilitiesEnsures the highest level of customer service possibleDisplays respect and concern for all patientsAttends all clinic huddles and clinic monthly meetingsGreets and Welcomes patients to the clinicAssists patients to the seating areaAssists patients in wheelchair to the seating areaAssists patients with scheduling transportation to and from the clinicEnsures all insurance benefits are verified and activeCollects any co-pays necessary for patient's visitManages phone lines by answering, taking messages, and conducting outbound calls as instructedManages patient referrals by processing them and obtaining authorizationsAssists in scheduling appointments for patient's referralsUpdates patient information and making changes to EMR platformOther Duties as assignedWhat You'll BringKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities1+ years progressive work experience in the healthcare industry2+ years of customer serviceBi-lingual-(English/Spanish) requiredExperience managing referrals and authorizations preferredExperience in Value-based care operations preferredExperience documenting electronic medical recordsComfortable working independentlyEducation, Experience, Licensure, or Certification RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Hospitality preferredCPR/BLS Certified (or willing to obtain within 7 days of employment)Suvida Healthcare provides equal employment opportunities to all Team Members and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type with regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
