This position is responsible for paraprofessional work with County Extension Agents in a Food and Nutrition Education program for limited resource clients. Work is performed under general supervision. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Ability to relate effectively to young people and adults. Strong communication skills and experience interacting with diverse groups of people. Skill working with clients with limited resources. Exhibit qualities of independent judgment. Physical Demands Standing Bending Food preparation Transportation of demonstration supplies Lifting Driving as needed to perform job duties Duties Assisting with development, organizing, conducting and will assist in evaluation of education programs for low income adults. (70%) Assisting with development, organizing, conducting and will assist in evaluation of education programs for low income youths. (15%) Recruits, trains and coordinates volunteers to assist with activities. (5%) Participates in in-service staff development.
