Job Summary: Provide direct patient care within a busy Emergency Department setting during night shifts on a part-time basis. Serve as a vital communication link between patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians, ensuring smooth coordination and support. Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, relaying messages, maintaining records, and directing visitors. Assist with patient care tasks and manage supply orders efficiently.

Essential Functions:

• Communicate clearly and professionally with charge nurses, medical staff, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with various departments to support a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Transport specimens promptly to the laboratory.
• Order and manage supplies, contributing to cost containment through prudent use and conservation.
• Maintain flexibility and organization while working effectively under pressure.
• Treat patients and their families with respect, dignity, and compassion.
• Provide verbal reassurance and explanations to patients and visitors as needed.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must hold Nursing Assistant Certification or EMT Certification.

Experience: Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or EMT is required. Preference given to candidates with at least one year of experience in an Emergency Department hospital setting.

Licensure/Certifications: Active Nursing Assistant license or EMT Certification valid in the Pacific Northwest region.
