Email DeveloperSweetwater, the nation's number one online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking to hire a knowledgeable, driven, and passionate Email Developer to our growing Performance Marketing team! The ideal candidate for this position will be a well-rounded, detail-oriented, and collaborative marketing technologist. The optimal candidate will have a deep understanding of Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g., Braze, Blueshift, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and their functionalities, including customer journey mapping, template buildouts, and email QA. They will also possess expertise in creating custom, high-quality email templates using HTML, CSS, and Liquid Logic to deliver seamless and engaging email experiences for our users.Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with marketing team to map customer journeys and design automated, personalized campaigns in accordance with business objectives.Develop and deploy items such as email marketing journey optimization, SMS/MMS, subscriber list management, Blueshift native connector integration, customer attribute ingestion and activation.Code and develop responsive and visually appealing HTML/CSS email templates for promotional, transactional and automated email campaigns.Manipulate and edit existing HTML/CSS email templates and template modules.Perform thorough quality assurance testing on emails across diverse email clients (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) and devices to ensure consistent design, functionality, and performance.Able to identify and resolve potential challenges proactively, such like dark mode rendering and font rendering inconsistencies across devices and email clients.Utilize liquid logic to customize existing content blocks within email templates and create new content blocks to support a templatized, modular design system and corresponding code library.Qualifications3+ years experience in a similar technical role within a marketing department or email/automation team.Experience with Marketing Automation Systems (e.g. Blueshift, Braze, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.) or similar platforms - managing enhancement requests and owning the day-to-day operations within each system.Proficient in HTML and CSS, experience coding for various email clients, and ability to troubleshoot rendering issues.Strong working knowledge of email marketing best practicesExperience using email testing platforms such as LitmusProficient understanding of CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR, and related compliance requirements as it relates to Marketing systems implementation and managementExperience in retail e-commerce is a bonus.Sweetwater "Ideal Team Player"WOWs The Customer – You possess a deep passion and desire for creating amazing customer & colleague experiencesGet Things Done – You have a great work ethic and move through tasks with a sense of urgencyObsesses over the Details – You are committed to paying attention to the detailsDrives Continuous Improvement – You are always focusing on effective and efficient work and ways to get betterDevelops the Future – You are committed to the pursuit of growing personally & professionally and have a focus on bringing your colleagues along in that journeyWe function best as a unified team, so relocation to our state-of-the-art campus in Fort Wayne, IN is required.
