Production Supervisor I

Full-time Regular Operative Laurens, SC, US Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees using machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. CeramTrack data accuracy will be the initial project for this position. Key Responsibilities Supervise others working within established operational systems. Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies. Develop monthly and annual production plans for a factory to include resource planning and monitoring and reporting on performance against the plan. Explain the local action plan, to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission, and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance inspections. Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines. Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate. Help management to implement quality assurance change initiatives and/or make continuous operational improvements. Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization's performance management systems to improve personal performance. Or manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold people accountable for achieving them, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives. Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills. Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
