Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) – Vaccines Location Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas. Must reside within the geographic area. Travel Up to 50% travel required, including overnight stays. Responsibilities Engage in bidirectional exchange of scientific or medical information with Scientific Leaders (SLs) to provide balanced, factual science about non‑product areas and company products. Develop professional rapport and maintain a reliable presence with national and regional SLs to ensure ongoing medical contact. Gather feedback, data, and information during routine activities that help the company understand scientific and medical needs, priorities, and concerns of SLs and patients. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the dynamic scientific and clinical environment in the company’s Areas of Interest (AOI). Address scientific questions and direct SL inquiries about resources outside the Director’s scope to appropriate company contacts in line with policies. Support scientific congresses and medical meetings, facilitating scientific and data exchange for both company and competitor data. Upon request from the Global Center for Scientific Affairs (GCSA), initiate discussions with SLs or potential investigators for scientific/data exchange within AOIs, assess alignment with research strategies, study concepts, scientific merit, and qualification for specific compounds or trials, and enhance understanding of investigator‑sponsored research goals. Identify barriers to patient enrollment and retention to meet study milestones. Upon request from Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO), recommend study sites, identify potential investigators for phaseII–IV clinical development programs, conduct Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), address investigator questions, and provide information regarding participation in company‑sponsored clinical studies. Minimum Qualifications MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or DNP. Minimum three (3) years of experience in vaccines and vaccine‑preventable diseases beyond terminal degree program. Ability to conduct doctoral‑level discussions with key external stakeholders. Strong focus on scientific excellence, education, and dialogue. Strategic stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills. Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other relevant guidelines, laws, and regulations. Organizational, prioritization, and adaptability skills in a constantly changing environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access). Committed to an inclusive culture and adherence to field and corporate policies, SOPs, GCP guidelines, and administrative responsibilities. Preferred Experience and Skills Field‑based medical affairs experience. Relevant therapeutic area experience. Demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication. Research experience. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $190,800.00 – $300,300.00. Role eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
