The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh North - McCandless Crossing is looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent/Sales Coordinator to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. This position will also support our Sales efforts. This position is a perfect developmental position if you might like to consider Hotel Sales in your future. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott at McCandless Crossing is an award-winning member of the Marriott family of hotels operating in the bustling North Hills of Pittsburgh. Our location in McCandless Crossing places us near hospitals, universities, shopping, and other attractions. The hotel is managed by Pittsburgh based Prospera Hospitality, whose portfolio includes hotels, restaurants, and convention centers.

What you'll do:

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Manage online and phone reservations.
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data.
  • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay).
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms.
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.
  • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests.
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.

Sales Coordinator duties:

  • Assist Sales Manager and General Manager with duties as assigned.
  • Respond to prospective client requests for information.
  • Promptly reply to inquiries.
  • Attend sales calls with clients.
  • Draft contracts for future bookings.

What you'll get:

  • This position will pay $17.00 per hour to start, with scheduled annual increases.

  • Paid time off is provided, including vacation, sick days, and holidays.

Requirements:

Previous Hotel or Hospitality experience is a plus.

Previous Hotel Front Office experience is preferred.
