Emergency Medical Technician Responsibilities

As an EMT with M1 Global, you will provide professional emergency medical care while supporting a safe, responsive, and service-focused environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Respond promptly and professionally to emergency medical calls and incidents.

• Assess, treat, and stabilize patients at the scene and during transport, as applicable.

• Provide patient care using appropriate medical techniques, equipment, and established protocols.

• Perform occupational health services, including:

• Drug screenings

• Hearing tests

• Fit testing

• Physicals and wellness checks

• Accurately document patient information, medical care, treatments, and incident details.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicableHIPAA and OSHArequirements.

• Inspect, clean, stock, and maintain ambulances or emergency response vehicles and medical equipment.

• Safely operate emergency response vehicles in accordance with state and company requirements.

• Work professionally and collaboratively with law enforcement, fire personnel, healthcare providers, and other emergency response professionals.

• Communicate with patients, visitors, employees, and clients in a courteous, compassionate, and respectful manner.

• Maintain a high level of professionalism while working in high-pressure and rapidly changing situations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Current and validEMT certification/licensein the state of employment.

• CurrentCPR/BLS certification; American Heart Association certification preferred.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Minimum of1 year of EMT experiencein a high-volume emergency care, occupational health, or patient transport setting preferred.

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry50 pounds or more.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Knowledge of and experience working withinOSHA and HIPAA compliance standards.

• Strong judgment, professionalism, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

• Strong commitment to patient care, safety, confidentiality, and exceptional service.
