Seeking a BC/BE Breast Imager to join our health center north of Syracuse, NY. Join a high-quality, hospital-based breast imaging service with full on-site coverage and a dedicated multidisciplinary team.\n

\nClinical Highlights Comprehensive Breast Imaging: \n
\n
\nOn-site interpretation of screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI with same-day results and immediate biopsies when indicated.\n

• 3 Fuji Cristalle mammography rooms (including upright stereotactic)

• Hologic Affirm prone stereotactic table
\n
• 4 Philips Epic ultrasound units

Robust Volumes:

• 2024: 7,287 screening mammograms, 1,191 diagnostic mammograms, 976 breast ultrasounds

• 2025 YTD: 4,690 screening, 828 diagnostic, 709 ultrasounds, 14 stereotactic biopsies

\n Dedicated Staffing: \n
\n

• 6 mammography technologists, 4 ultrasound technologists, and 3 MRI technologists with full-time on-site radiologist coverage (40 hours/week).

\nMultidisciplinary & Academic Environment\n

\n Surgical Oncology Collaboration: \n

\n

\n
• Partner closely with a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist specializing in oncoplastic breast surgery, nipple-sparing mastectomies, and nerve reinnervation techniques.

Cancer Care Integration: \n
\n

• Affiliation with Roswell Park Care Network through the Walker Center for Cancer Care, including twice-monthly tumor boards.

Teaching Opportunities: \n

• Participate in education within accredited Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residency programs.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $575,000

• Sign-On Bonus: $75,000

• The department performs its own immunohistochemical (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) staining in-house using the Leica BOND-MAX III automated stainer, enabling high-throughput, reproducible results and rapid diagnostic turnaround.

• Digitally printed blocks and slides minimize labeling errors and ensure full traceability throughout the specimen workflow.
\n
• Equipped with state-of-the-art Siemens Atellica chemistry analyzers and a modern LIS, supporting a robust test menu and efficient workflow.
