Patient Service SpecialistWhen patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That's where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you'll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don't underestimate the impact you can make on every patient's care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.ResponsibilitiesGreet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check outSchedule patient appointments in person and via phoneRegular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development teamCollect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verificationsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required1 Year of Medical Office ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:1 Year of Front Desk ExperienceInsurance Verification ExperiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shiftAppropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) throughout a work day/shiftAbility to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanicsAbility to carry office supplies up to 10lbsVisual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written directionAbility to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directionsGo Anywhere with Us! 1900 centers in 39 states offering internal movementEqual Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans
