Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida state license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
• Minimum 1 year current experience in hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation (IP Rehab), or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record preferred.
• Must be able to work varied day shift hours and participate in schedule rotations, including one weekend per month with compensatory weekdays off.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Experience providing inpatient care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general med/surg populations preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:30–17:00.
• Typically 8-hour day shifts with schedule determined by surgical volume and holiday rotation.
• Unit: 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with an average staff of 12 per shift.
• EMR: Meditech.
• Equipment commonly used: treatment beds, treadmills, exercise bikes, resistance bands, exercise balls.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide inpatient rehabilitation care that supports recovery for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical patients. Work within an interdisciplinary team including directors, lead therapists, PTs, PTAs, and occupational therapists. Contribute to a teaching hospital environment that serves a large regional healthcare complex specializing in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and women’s services.
