A leading engineering firm in Creedmoor, NC is seeking a CAD Drafter to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a background in mechanical drafting and a passion for precision design. The CAD Drafter will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D models of customized construction equipment using SolidWorks, supporting the engineering team in delivering high-quality, client-specific solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks for customized construction equipment.

· Interpret and apply company and client standards to all drafting work.

· Collaborate with engineers to prepare mechanical design sketches and layouts.

· Maintain accurate documentation and revision control of all drawings.

Support manufacturing and production teams with clear and precise technical drawings.

Skills and Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

· Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

· Minimum 1 year of drafting experience using SolidWorks (academic experience acceptable).

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications (Plusses):

· Experience with DraftSight or AutoCAD.

· Mechanical background, particularly in steel or electronics design.

Familiarity with manufacturing environments and construction equipment.
