Maintenance Technician

Shift 6:30 AM–5:15 PM, Monday–Thursday–Friday as needed Position Summary Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician ready to take on more complex challenges and keep high-performance equipment running at its best? We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our team, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining our facilities and troubleshooting a variety of tools, machines, and systems. Core Functions Utilize advanced knowledge in diagnosing and repairing complex machines, including electrical/PLC, mechanical, welding, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics, and conveyor systems. Operate and maintain custom machines at peak efficiency. Collaborate with engineering to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize downtime through data‑driven analysis. Use the maintenance ticket system to create work orders, upload documentation, and update parts as needed. Assist with inventory, cataloging parts inventory, and ordering replacement parts and shop supplies. Rebuild machines, tools, and heavy equipment and create special tools to assist with production. Work on machine programming as needed and help train and teach new machine operators. Troubleshoot machine issues. Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce downtime potential on machines and processes. Qualifications & Requirements Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Previous forklift experience required; 2‑3 years of experience preferred. 3 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines required. Required Licenses Completion of related technical training program, certification, degree, or journeyman apprenticeship preferred. Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge Basic computer skills, ability to perform arithmetic with various units of measure. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. Travel None. Supervisor Responsibilities Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities. Physical Requirements Heavy work: exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Activities Climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions. Visual Acuity Requires visual acuity to perform activities such as operating machines like lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach, performing mechanical or skilled trades’ tasks of a non‑repetitive nature such as carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc. Working Conditions Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production‑based environment.
