Business Analyst

Sr. Business AnalystThe Business Analyst will identify, define, document, and make recommendations regarding repeatable data services and data management processes needed to support the business. Additionally, the selected candidate will identify opportunities to automate business processes, as well as design and manage the project from a business perspective. The BA will have proven experience with the full capability of Microsoft Dynamics 365 stack (ERP and CRM) Must have the ability to work with multiple teams of technical and business SMEs to provide support to process documentation and reengineering. This person will act as the liaison between business units and the Information Technology department to complete business cases/documentation in support of projects. Participates in or facilitates requirements definition, business process modeling, and research efforts. Acts as a consultant to business partners and customers. Defines, evaluates, and helps to manage projects on time, on budget, and with quality execution.Duties and Responsibilities:Acts as a liaison between the business and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systemsParticipates in business process modeling and requirement definition sessions, acting as a documentarian, innovator, co-facilitator, facilitator, or subject matter expert.Perform any necessary data mapping (metadata) and document information flowsConduct data analysis and interpretation to support business decision makingIdentify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to optimize business processesIdentify and propose opportunities to automate business processes to reduce costs and maximize profits and work with cross-functional teams to implementWork with technical Business Intelligence resource to monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business initiativesMakes recommendations for product and system enhancements for all business applications including MS Dynamics 365 FO and CRMConducts preliminary investigation for all project requests. Reviews and develops requirements, specifications, test, support and training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives on projects.Participates in Business Process Management group efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the group.Participates in root cause analysis in order to recommend product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for both the business units and IT.Tests and provide feedback for new product and servicesParticipate in Scrum meetings to support backlog grooming and sprint planningProvides ongoing systems/technical training to the business as requiredProvides support to identity and document system deficiencies and recommend solutionsProvide weekly and ad hoc project reports that aid management decisionsDevelop and maintain SOPs for business systems as requiredQualifications and Experience:BS in Business or Computer Science or equivalent Business Analyst/Project Management certifications5-7 years' experience as a business analysis in systems development and implementation, general business analysis, business operations, and project management experienceDemonstrated experience in analyzing, understanding, and documenting business processes and requirements for solutions that support automation, modernization, and transformation initiatives2-3 years' experience with Microsoft D365 platform (ERP and CRM) implementation and/or support – experience with other ERP implementation and support will be consideredMicrosoft Power BI experience a plusDemonstrated expertise with both SDLC and Agile methodologiesRequires analytical, facilitation, business process mapping, and negotiation skills, as well as know-how in data process modelingAbility to apply logic and reasoning to identify and analyze problem areas and recommend various solutions consistent with applicable regulations and policiesAbility to build relationships and interacts professionally with a diverse group of leaders and subject matter experts (internal or external)Process and detailed orientedExperience working with large data sets and complex systemsGood understanding of IT systems and application development techniquesProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite of productsGood knowledge of service management practices and techniques – ITIL a plusAbility to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a timely manner and for the appropriate task.Ability to work successfully in a high volume, technically demanding jobExcellent communication skills, including written and verbal and customer service skills.Must be available after hours to assist as necessaryMust be able to travel regularly to business locations as needed Echo IT Solutions
