Senior BSA / Data Migration Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst / Data Migration Specialist to support data transformation or migration between Salesforce and surrounding eco system including DataStage, Snowflake, Tableau and any legacy applications The ideal candidate will have strong business-facing skills combined with hands-on experience analyzing data, defining migration requirements, and supporting the movement of data from legacy/source systems to target platforms.




The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, architects, developers, and QA to understand business requirements and translate them into clear data mapping, transformation, migration, and validation requirements.




Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand business processes, requirements, data usage, and reporting needs.
• Lead requirements gathering and facilitate discussions between business and technology teams.
• Analyze source and target systems to understand data structures, relationships, dependencies, and constraints.
• Define and document source-to-target mappings, business rules, transformation logic, and data migration requirements.
• Identify data quality issues, gaps, anomalies, duplicates, and migration risks and work with stakeholders to determine remediation approaches.
• Perform data analysis and profiling using SQL and related tools.
• Work closely with Data Engineers/ETL teams supporting migration and transformation activities.
• Support data reconciliation and validation to ensure completeness and accuracy following migration.
• Define business acceptance criteria and support SIT/UAT and post-migration validation.
• Analyze downstream impacts of migrated data, particularly for Tableau reporting and analytics.
• Work within a data environment involving Snowflake, IBM DataStage, and Tableau.
• Clearly communicate complex data issues, constraints, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Migration Specialist, preferably within large enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with end-to-end data migration / system conversion projects.
• Excellent requirements elicitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping, data transformation, data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation.
• Strong SQL and analytical skills.
• Experience with Salesforce, Snowflake, IBM DataStage or comparable ETL/data integration platforms and Tableau is a plus.
• Deep understanding of reporting and downstream data dependencies.
• Ability to identify and articulate data constraints, dependencies, risks, and business impacts.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Financial services/banking experience would be an asset.
