Formulation Scientist

Senior Formulation Scientist Location: Greenwood, SC Industry: Nutraceuticals/Dietary Supplements Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm, on-site 100% Employment Type: Direct hire with medical, dental, vision, 401k (relocation assistance for the right candidate), plus bonus eligibility Salary: Competitive industry compensation and depends on experience Responsibilities: Lead formulation trials and develop powders, liquids, and consumer-friendly dosage forms. Optimize blends, taste masking, flow properties, and product stability as a subject matter expert. Support scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturability assessments. Interpret data, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure database integrity. Review Master Batch Records and provide technical oversight for costing and feasibility. Mentor and train team members while supporting lab operations and equipment readiness. Champion safety, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. What we are looking for Bachelor s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master s degree preferred 7+ years experience of formulation experience in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, vitamins. Experience working within a CDMO or CMO highly desired. Experience with powders or consumer-friendly dosage forms such as gummies, chewables, or effervescents. Strong understanding of GMPs, regulatory expectations, and ingredient compliance. Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate across teams. Skilled in data analysis, technical documentation, and problem-solving.
