Activity Assistant

Heath Village is a constantly growing and unique retirement community providing multiple levels of housing and healthcare for close to 400 residents and is located on a 100+ acre campus. - Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
- Engage residents in activities, ensuring their participation and enjoyment while providing support as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Document resident participation and feedback to help evaluate the effectiveness of programs
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate special events and outings for residents
- The ability to work collaboratively with other staff members enhances the overall effectiveness of the activities offered.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication, interpersonal abilities and organizational skills
- Certification in recreational therapy or a related field.
- Experience in planning and leading group activities.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals in a care setting
