Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patients, families, and other groups or disciplines. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes. Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing. Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions, and communication style. Heavy Work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The weight lifted may be negligible, but the job requires walking or standing to a significant degree, pushing/pulling at a production rate pace, and working in an environment with potential exposure to hazardous medications or waste. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue. The incumbent works in a patient care area, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases, presenting an occupational risk for exposure. Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of employment or Compact License. Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in a Home Health setting. Preferred 2 years of experience in Home Health. Valid driver's license and auto insurance. Local or travel accepted. Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed. Ability to demonstrate good judgment. Education Required: Registered Nurse degree. Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. Certifications Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed. Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
