Hospice Marketer/Community Relations Representative

LOCATION: Billings, MT

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

We are seeking a relationship-driven professional to lead community outreach and marketing efforts for our hospice and palliative care program. This role focuses on building meaningful connections, increasing awareness of our services, and supporting patients and families as they transition into care.

Ideal candidate is someone who has experience in sales or has owned their own business. Candidate must be self driven and motivated.

 

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Development & Community Engagement

• Build and strengthen partnerships with hospitals, physicians, senior living communities, discharge planners, social workers, and case managers.
• Cultivate trust with community groups, faith-based organizations, senior centers, veterans organizations, and local leaders.
• Host and participate in educational workshops, seminars, health fairs, and community events.

Education & Advocacy

• Educate healthcare professionals, families, and the community on hospice and palliative care.
• Explain eligibility requirements, available services, and the overall philosophy of care.
• Address misconceptions and increase understanding of supportive end-of-life services.

Referral Growth & Intake Support

• Drive referrals by maintaining strong relationships and delivering effective education.
• Support families and referral sources through the intake and admissions process.
• Ensure timely communication and follow-up to help convert referrals into admissions.
• Partner closely with admissions and clinical teams to ensure a smooth transition for new patients.
• Share relevant insights gathered during initial outreach to support patient needs.

Marketing Strategy & Territory Management

• Develop and execute marketing plans that align with organizational goals.
• Evaluate referral patterns, track territory performance, and identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activity, contacts, and referral sources.
• Provide regular reporting on marketing results and community engagement efforts.
• Uphold the organization’s mission, values, and brand standards in all interactions.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of empathy and emotional intelligence.
• Strong understanding of hospice and palliative care philosophy.
• Experience in sales, business development, or marketing (healthcare experience preferred).
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity when engaging with diverse populations.
