Job Summary:
The emergency room registered nurse (RN) position is located in Largo, Maryland, within a high-volume emergency department. The role involves providing acute care to a diverse patient population across all age ranges, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults. The RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, following established protocols and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 3x12 hour shifts (10:30 AM 11:00 PM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications; experience in emergency room or trauma center setting; 3+ years of clinical experience preferred; travel experience required but will consider candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience; community hospital and trauma level I or II experience; additional certifications or experience in community or LTAC settings.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing complex cases such as trauma, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory emergencies. The facility is equipped with specialized trauma equipment, including Belmont in trauma and Giraffe warmers for neonates. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope to various units as needed. The assignment begins on 07/27/2026 and lasts for 13 weeks, with every other weekend scheduled off. On-call responsibilities are not required.
