ABOUT EVERFUR

Everfur is a pet health intelligence company. We build AI tools grounded in veterinary science, over 50,000 peer reviewed publications across 47 journals plus real world clinical data, that help pet owners make faster, better decisions about their animal's health. Our consumer product, Everfur Health Intelligence, gives dog and cat owners a complete health record, evidence based answers around the clock, and live televet visits with veterinarians. We are a small founding team that moves fast.

THE ROLE

You will run video meetings with dog and cat owners inside Everfur's televet. Owners book a slot, complete an AI guided intake, and you join with a brief already in hand: the pet's profile, a structured summary of its retrieved medical records, and the full intake conversation. No history taking from scratch, no chasing records, no front desk.

In states where you are licensed and where state law permits establishing a veterinarian client patient relationship by telemedicine, these are full clinical visits. You examine what can be examined, form an assessment, treat, and prescribe. In every state, you are the clinical judgment in the loop: what is manageable at home, what needs a diagnostic, and what needs hands on care today.

This is a build role as much as a clinical one. We are early, and the veterinarians on the platform now are shaping what it becomes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Run scheduled video meetings on Google Meet with pet owners, booked into availability blocks you publish

- Review the pre visit brief before each call so the owner never repeats themselves

- Diagnose, treat, and prescribe within your license and within the limits of what telemedicine can responsibly do

- Escalate: recognize when a case needs a diagnostic workup, an in person exam, urgent care, or an ER, and route it there immediately through our escalation path

- Answer the owner's post visit chat follow ups for that visit inside Everfur Health Intelligence

- Approve the AI drafted visit summary and record update before it reaches the owner's health record

- Flag product gaps, bad AI output, confusing flows, and recurring owner questions to the team. Your correction of the AI is a first class part of the job

TERMS

- Reviewing the brief and approving the visit note are part of each meeting and are included in the meeting rate

- If an owner needs more time, you can book them a second slot, which is paid as a second meeting

- If an owner does not show, you are paid for the slot

- Paid as a 1099 independent contractor. You set your own availability and are free to work for other practices and platforms. We do not ask for exclusivity

SCHEDULE

- Fully remote, US based

- You publish weekly availability blocks and owners book slots into them through Everfur's scheduler

- Evening and weekend availability is especially valuable, since that is when most owners book

- Start with as few as 5 hours of published availability per week and scale up as demand grows

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- DVM or VMD from an AVMA accredited college, or ECFVG or PAVE certification

- Active, unrestricted license in at least one US state, in good standing with every board that has ever licensed you

- Multiple state licenses preferred

- At least 3 years in practice

- Equine, mixed, large animal, shelter, and relief backgrounds are welcome and encouraged, provided your companion animal fundamentals are solid. Several of our best clinicians came from ambulatory practice

- Willingness to add state licenses where we ask, at our cost, on a reasonable timeline

- Clear judgment about the limits of telemedicine, and no ego about saying "this needs to be seen today"

- Excellent on camera presence: warm, clear, calm, and able to build trust with a stranger in under a minute

- Strong client education instincts. You can explain a treatment plan in plain language without talking down

- Comfortable in a fully digital workflow: video meetings, chat follow ups, structured notes, AI generated briefs

- Reliable high speed internet, a quiet and well lit space, a decent webcam and microphone

NICE TO HAVE

- Prior telehealth experience (Vetster, Dutch, Airvet, Pawp, or a clinic's own program)

- Dermatology, nutrition, behavior, or internal medicine interest

- Bilingual, especially Spanish

- Genuine interest in shaping an AI native clinical product rather than just using one

HOW WE WORK

- Everfur is AI native. An AI vet tech runs intake and routine check ins. You get AI drafted briefs and notes and a clinical assistant available during the meeting. Your judgment and your relationship with the owner are the parts it cannot do, and correcting it when it is wrong is part of the work

- We route pets to clinics. When a pet needs hands on care, our job is to get them there, not to keep the visit. We are building a platform veterinarians can respect, and we are aware that not every telehealth company has earned that

- You will have a direct line to the founders. Feedback from your meetings changes the product weekly

- Simple, fast, honest. We would rather fix something than debate it

SCOPE AND COMPLIANCE

- You practice only in states where you hold an active license and only within what that state's law permits, including whether a VCPR may be established by telemedicine

- Everfur does not prescribe DEA controlled substances on this platform, in any state, for any reason

- Your compensation is never tied to whether you prescribe, what you prescribe, or what an owner buys. We do not pay per prescription and we never will. Base rate, bonuses, and equity are all independent of your clinical decisions

- Prescriptions are filled through our licensed pharmacy partner. You choose the therapy. The fulfillment path never chooses it for you

- Depending on your state, you will contract with Strand Health Inc. or with its affiliated professional corporation

- Everfur provides professional liability coverage for meetings conducted on the platform

- You will complete a short onboarding covering our escalation protocol, note standards, formulary, and privacy practices before your first meeting
