Warehouse Associate - Entry LevelThe Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the distribution center. The position involves repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual or physical job duties based on the distribution center's needs.ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload trailers by hand, handling items such as grills, tree stands, safes, and kayaks.Use scanners to read bar codes on labels and products.Fill customer orders by inspecting and matching merchandise to order.Stock merchandise to ensure item availability.Pack customer orders for shipment.Select and verify products for fulfillment, routing them to the next area or packing for shipping.Assign and reassign pick locations based on report information, maintaining an accurate listing of all locations.Sort merchandise as appropriate.Process, ticket, or sort merchandise for retail locations.Perform returns processing for customer orders.Clean and repair different reel models, determining if repair is under warranty.Maintain work area by cleaning as needed.Perform manual or physical job duties based on distribution center needs.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAbility to meet the physical demands of the job, including repetitive walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stretching, and climbing up and down step ladders for the duration of the shift and overtime when scheduled.Ability to repetitively lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs for the duration of the shift and overtime when scheduled.Good hand-eye coordination.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with packaging, material handling, forklift operation, inventory, picking, packing, general labor, shipping.Why Work Here?Work for a large national company that offers employee discounts and a flexible schedule, providing a balanced work-life experience.Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in a large distribution center with multiple day and night shifts available.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Triadelphia, WV.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
