About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry RN – North Carolina

Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts available; Contract lengths 13-26 weeks; Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period)

Highlights:

• Comprehensive cardiac patient population including atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, cardiomyopathy, and post-surgical cardiac patients
• Exposure to advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, Mitral Clip, Watchman procedure, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with interdisciplinary support from pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and specialty services
• Epic charting system with 24-hour orientation period
• Work with specialized equipment including arterial lines, femoral sheaths, chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and cardiac monitoring devices
• First-time travelers welcome with appropriate cardiac experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
• Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Step-down unit experience preferred
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Willingness to float as needed and work holidays
• Availability to serve on Storm/Hurricane response teams during catastrophic events or disasters
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
