Registration Coordinator - 24h Days

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24

This position is a 24 hr day shift position with hours from 7-330, 8-430 or 830-5 (to be finalized). This position includes one weekend a month (Saturday and Sunday 7-330) and varied holidays. Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient's electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor
• Ability to professional handle all interactions within a fast paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment.
• Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• Minimum two years of computer experience
• Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

License/Certification:

Salary Range Details:

The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
