RN MedSurg PCU

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) for MedSurg/PCU is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting, covering Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care Unit patients. The role requires flexibility to work across departments as needed, ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and timely communication with healthcare teams. The RN must maintain active licensure, demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation, infection control, and patient education, and contribute to quality patient outcomes during night shifts including the holiday season. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, preferably in MedSurg/PCU or related acute care settings.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety protocols, infection control, and equipment operation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-departmental environments.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with telemetry and progressive care unit nursing.
• Familiarity with emergency cart maintenance and restocking.
• Prior experience working holiday shifts and managing minimal RTO (Request Time Off) dates.

Special Considerations:

• Willingness and ability to work through the holiday season with minimal RTO dates.
• Flexibility to work across multiple departments as needed.
• Night shift assignment in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting.

Scheduling:

• Night shift schedule with specific assignment to MedSurg/PCU units.
• Shift patterns may require coverage during holidays and periods of high demand.
