Splunk Engineer/Admin
Location: Remote
Duration: 9 + Months with possible extension
Job Responsibilities:
- Will provide support in onboarding and maintenance activities on a wide variety of data sources that include various OS, appliances, and application logs.
- Experience implementing Splunk installations from the ground up, including various server roles (Search Head, Indexers, Heavy Forwarders and Universal Forwarders, etc.)
- Troubleshoot complex integration challenges and configuration issues.
- Assist with the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and documentation of Splunk infrastructure.
Must Haves:
- Hands on experience with log onboarding, responsible for onboarding logs from SaaS applications.
- Hands on experience engineering support for Splunk/SaaS platform.
- 3+ years of experience with deploying, configuring in a Splunk environment.
- Troubleshooting experience is needed here.
- Must have advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Preferred:
- Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of Splunk forwarders and heavy forwarders.
