Avionics/Electrical Tech 4

Avionics/Electrical Technician Provides leadership, technical expertise and guidance while performing various operational, functional tests and repairs of avionics/electronic aircraft equipment and systems to ensure a defect‑free aircraft. Responsibilities Perform operational testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and aircraft systems. Educate and train personnel on installation, testing, and maintenance procedures. Install and verify electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability. Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all work performed. Pre‑inspect work of others to reduce rework and inspection time. Operate and maintain test equipment and electronic systems. Enforce FOD, tool control, 5‑S, and safety regulations. Adapt to schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines on projects. Support aircraft certification and final‑phase testing, including flight tests as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Six (6) years of avionics/electrical career experience, or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus four (4) years related experience. A & P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred. Proficiency in troubleshooting electronics, avionics, hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations. Knowledge of basic blueprints and schematic diagrams. Strong written, speaking, and reading English skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
