Subcontracts Manager (Mgr Subcontracts Admin 1) - 28837 Requisition Number: 28837 Employment Type: Full Time/Salaried/Exempt Salary Range: $96,259.00 - $145,000.00 Required Travel: 0 - 10% Summary: HII-Mission Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to join the team as a Subcontracts Manager. This position can be a remote opportunity. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of subcontract administrators, providing mentoring and training in cradle-to-grave subcontract management. Supervise, develop and manage staff, setting goals and assisting staff in meeting objectives. Build strong relationships with internal business owners to understand business objectives and support proposals and subcontract performance. Find solutions to business needs within the confines of a CPSR-approved system. Use a risk‑based approach to developing sourcing strategies and negotiating contract language. Support the team and assist in the negotiations and execution of complex subcontracts and requirements. Ensure the team obtains proper approvals from Legal, Compliance, Security, the requesting business area and any other internal stakeholders for each subcontract. Build and maintain external vendor relationships for key subcontractors. Provide input into Strategic Sourcing policies and procedures. Respond to contract audit reviews to satisfy reporting requirements. Resolve escalated issues arising from operations requiring coordination with other departments. Qualifications: 4 years of relevant progressive experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 2 years with a master’s; or high school diploma with 8 years. Proven experience managing end‑to‑end subcontract operations. Strong knowledge of subcontract management principles, risk mitigation and best practices. Experience negotiating large and complex subcontracts with positive outcomes. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to build relationships with subcontractors, customers and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in using contract‑management software and tools to manage and track employee activity. Experience managing a team of subcontract professionals and providing leadership to achieve business objectives. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to federal government procurement. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and implement innovative solutions to optimize team performance.
