Sr Corporate Counsel - Employment

Overview

The Senior Corporate Counsel – Employment is responsible for providing day-to-day legal support to the Company’s Human Resources team on a variety of employment issues. This role manages outside counsel on employment litigation and handles EEOC, agency charges, and internal investigations. It also updates employee-related agreements, handles restrictive covenant matters, reviews and drafts policies and procedures to support the human resources team, and develops and conducts training on legal developments.

Location and Schedule

The Senior Corporate Counsel is based as a hybrid (minimum 3 days/week on-site) at the Company\'s Secaucus, NJ headquarters.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $190,000 to $230,000/year + 25% Annual Incentive Plan + LTI

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Qualifications

The successful candidate for Senior Corporate Counsel will have the following attributes and/or experiences:

• Minimum of 7-10+ years of expertise in employment law counseling and employment/litigation experience
• Preferred prior in-house experience
• Some prior litigation experience a plus
• Strong educational background including an undergraduate degree and JD
• Strong working knowledge of various state and federal employment laws (including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, ERISA, and state law counterparts); California experience a plus
• Workers\' compensation experience is a plus
• Immigration experience is a plus
• Ability to promote the company\'s culture of legal compliance
• Ability to drive change resulting from legal developments
• Strong analytic and communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of diverse internal clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively prioritize work among competing priorities
• Occasional travel is required
