Highland Building Services is a Jackson area commercial cleaning provider. Accounts range from small buildings to properties as large as 200,000 square feet, and staffing, quality, and vendor relationships across all of them run through the owner directly today. Highland is hiring an Operations Manager to take over the day-to-day work currently handled by the owner.

You'll own staffing and quality across every account, working directly with property managers and building owners. You're the primary point of accountability for how the accounts run day-to-day, and you'll report directly to the owner.

This is a full-time Operations Manager position based in Madison, MS, covering more than 50 crew members across Highland's active accounts as the company adds new business.

Day to day, the work splits between phone and email time with property managers, site visits to check quality on active accounts, and keeping supply orders and vendor issues moving. When a job isn't meeting standard, there's no one to hand that to; you're expected to fix it and coach the crew leads directly. Account reporting runs weekly for the first 90 days, then moves to monthly once the role is established.

$50,000 - $75,000 yearly

• Own staffing and quality control across every active account.

• Serve as the first point of contact for property managers and building owners on service requests and concerns.

• Manage new account onboarding

• Order janitorial supplies and manage vendor relationships across all serviced buildings.

• Coach crew leads and hold them accountable to Highland's quality standard.

• Report on staffing, account health, and open issues

• 3+ years of experience in a managing operations role.

• Proven experience managing frontline teams in commercial cleaning, facilities, hospitality, or another service-heavy field.

• Comfortable building direct working relationships with property managers and building owners.

• Organized enough to manage multiple accounts, vendors, and staff schedules at once without letting details slip.

• Track record of taking ownership of results, not just assigned tasks, in past roles.
