Actuarial Analyst I

Broad Actuarial Generalist RoleEntry-level Life actuarial analyst role in Kansas City, Missouri, supporting pricing, product development, valuation, and regulatory work across individual life and annuity products. You will contribute to experience studies, actuarial models, cash flow testing, reserve calculations, filings, and automation while progressing toward SOA credentials.RequirementsMust have:Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fieldStrongly preferred:Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) examStrong analytical, conceptual-thinking and problem-solving skillsProficiency in ExcelExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentNice to have:Experience with actuarial software (e.g. AXIS, Prophet) and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)Internship or prior experience in life insurance or actuarial workFamiliarity with life insurance products and regulatory environmentExposure to valuation principles and financial reporting frameworks (e.g., GAAP, statutory)Skills & DomainTools Excel Domain Life insurance products (term, whole life, universal life, indexed UL) Fixed/indexed annuities
