Role Description The Barber role at CLIPPERS INCORPORATED is a full-time, on-site position based in Chicago, IL. Day-to-day responsibilities include cutting, trimming, and styling hair according to client preferences, as well as providing shaves, beard grooming, and basic hair care services. The Barber will consult with clients to understand their desired look, recommend suitable styles and products, and maintain a clean and organized work station. The Barber is also expected to follow health, safety, and sanitation standards, collaborate with team members, and contribute to a professional and inclusive environment. Qualifications Strong Hair Cutting and Barbering skills, with the ability to work with different hair types and styles. Proficiency in Hair Styling and Hair Care, including recommending appropriate hair care routines and products. Foundational knowledge of Cosmetology principles relevant to barbering and hair services. Valid barber or cosmetology license as required by Illinois state regulations. Previous experience in a barbershop or salon setting and a proven commitment to customer service. Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple appointments, and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and respectful approach to all clients.
