The role of a Certified Medical Assistant at AdventHealth Primary Care+ involves:

• Monitoring physician schedules and organizing patient care to ensure timely visits.
• Serving as the point of contact for daily clinic operations, assessing and resolving issues or escalating them as needed.
• Supporting relationship-based care and maintaining accountability for organizational mission and core values.
• Conducting training sessions, reviewing patient care protocols, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention guidelines.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to implement best practices and maintain high standards of care.
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting reasons for visits, patient history, and allergies, following nursing protocols.
• Assisting physicians with examinations and procedures, maintaining open communication for quality care.
• Auditing ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results for quality healthcare.
• Monitoring nursing supplies, equipment functionality, and maintenance, reporting needs to leadership.
• Delegating duties to office staff, managing operational issues, and ensuring adherence to clinic quality, regulatory, billing, and customer service standards.
• Working within the organizational framework to achieve hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
• Providing direct patient care and leading front-line staff in day-to-day clinical operations.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year of related work experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• American Association Medical Assistants (CMA) [Required] OR Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) [Required] OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) [Required] OR National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) [Required] OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) [Required] OR Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) [Required]

Pay Range: $17.11 $27.38
