Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Location

Tacoma, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (0700–1930) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including boarding patients awaiting inpatient room placement
• Independently monitor and interpret telemetry strips for assigned patientsMaintain a 4:1 patient ratio within a unit averaging 8–16 patients per day
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, nurse aides, and patient sitters to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to similar floors or regional facilities within Region Two as needed; standby requirement applies

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN License required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Ability to independently read and monitor telemetry strips
• Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health affiliated facility within the past year

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with boarding or observation patients in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Comfort with standby requirements and floating to similar units
