Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Float Position (multiple facility locations within market)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional licensure and with minimal supervision
• Operate various ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
• Perform arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, chest physiotherapy, and suctioning via oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods
• Perform 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, tracheostomy care, and assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement
• Set up, self-test, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment; assist with preventative maintenance and repair as needed
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines ; perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via freehand technique and/or video laryngoscope system

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to float between multiple facility locations within the market on a weekly basis
• Ability to work night shift hours

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols, including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
• Experience performing PleurX catheter drainage or similar chest drainage procedures
• Familiarity with video laryngoscope systems for endotracheal intubation
