Are you a detail-driven construction professional who enjoys accuracy, problem-solving, and bringing projects to life? We’re looking for a Lead Estimator to join our team in Southeast Michigan. What You’ll Do Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents Develop scopes of work across all trades Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients Identify cost‑saving and value engineering opportunities Support budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development Evaluate and qualify subcontractor bids Present budgets, schedules, and cost summaries to clients What We’re Looking For 4–10+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating Bachelor’s degree (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar preferred) Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and standards Ability to read and interpret drawings and project documents Experience with estimating/takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Field experience is a plus WHY JOIN US Total compensation: $90,000–$135,000 (base, auto allowance, bonus, profit sharing) Full benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, and profit sharing Team‑focused and autonomous work environment Clear growth and advancement opportunities Direct impact on meaningful, high‑quality projects About Vig Construction Founded in 1965, Vig Construction has completed over 1,750 projects across a wide range of sectors including office, research, hospitality, and municipal.
